From Away

Johnny Ramone passed away at his home this afternoon (age 55) after a courageous five year battle with prostate cancer surrounded by his friends and family which included his wife Linda Cummings, Eddie and Jill McCormack, Rob and Sherrie Zombie, John Frusciante and Robert Carmine.

Johnny (Cummings) Ramone was the third member of the band to pass away in the last three years. The only surviving member is Tommy Ramone. Johnny leaves behind his wife, Linda, as well as his mother, Estelle.

Johnny will be greatly missed by everyone in the punk rock scene as well as the legions of Ramones fans around the world.
